This 100% Syrah offers concentrated aromas
of blueberry and blackberry, layered with
baking spice, tobacco and green tea.
The sweet and toasty oak plays a role in
both the aroma and palate of this wine,
making more of an impact the longer the
wine stays in the glass. Rich and full bodied,
the palate is dense and viscous with flavors
that lean toward blackberry, cocoa nib and
Kahlua. The long finish will linger minutes
after your last sip.
The Spring Mountain sub-appellation of the
Napa Valley sits just west of the town of
St. Helena in the Mayacamas mountain
range. Situated at high elevation, and only
30 miles from the Pacific Ocean, Spring
Mountain experiences wet winters, warm
summer days and cool summer nights.
Vineyards in this region also benefit from
the absence of fog that is common to the
Napa Valley during the growing season
Our syrah was handpicked on Spring
Mountain on September 24th, 2016.
Juice chemistry was absolutely perfect,
a hallmark of a high quality vintage.
The grapes were destemmed to an open

on the skins for ten days before pressing.
This wine was aged for eighteen months
in 50% new French oak, and 50%
